God sent the very first valentine;
He sent the very first one;
He sent us someone precious;
When He sent His only son.

His arrival was a simple one;
Very plain indeed;
But His mission was most extraordinaire;
Sent to a world in desperate need.

The need was in the hearts of men;
And it’s still a need today;
The need of a Savior;
To take man’s sins away.
