“Hope in God Moving Forward in Faith”
Meet Erwin and Evelyn Lange
Erwin and Evelyn Lange are two of the patriarchs of Sauk Village Bible Church. They have served the Lord faithfully and in many capacities here; Evelyn for 56 years now and Erv for 40 years. Some of the areas of service include Missions, Sunday school teachers, Fellowship Planners, Greeters and the list goes on and on. They are longtime residents of Lansing. They have faced many trials over the years and have been examples of God’s miraculous healings and His sustaining grace. They have earned their names of endearment (Papa Erv and Grandma Evelyn) they are selfless and kind. We can learn many lessons from our seasoned seniors. Take the time to talk with them. They will be the first to tell you of the testing’s, disappointments and also the blessings.
Papa Erv will be 97 years old in December and right now resides at the Holland Home in South Holland as he undergoes therapy for a recent fall. Erv recently had the privilege to lead someone to Christ his first week there. He has many stories and jokes to share, make sure you make the time to go and visit him and you will both be blessed.
Erv is the father of one son Greg, and Evelyn has five children, Dennis, Larry (who is with the Lord), Dave, Donald and Dawn. She is also blessed with 12 grandchildren and many great grandchildren.
Evelyn is an extraordinary woman, she will be the first to tell you that any good you see in her is from her Father above and He deserves all the glory.
She is a prayer warrior, teacher, helper, friend and encourager and loves to share Christ with those she comes in contact with. Evelyn will be 89 years young in September. She is like the Eveready battery that keeps going and going and going because God is her power source. She is wise, giving and humble. Roger and I have been blessed countless times by them and in many ways They are loved and appreciated by their church family and many others.

Hoping in God Moving Forward in Faith
This is more than a motto or a statement; it has to be a living, breathing Holy Spirit force within each believer.Something that is living and breathing needs to be fed. Our faith is fed by the very words of God so we can be strengthened to move.
We can no longer stand still waiting for the Lords return but need to be about the Fathers business. Sometimes as believers we act and live like we have no hope but we do.
Praise to our God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy He has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, 1 Peter 1:3 (NIV)
Praise to God for a Living Hope!
We have to keep moving forward. It’s only in moving forward that we ever accomplish what God has called us to do. We can’t stay where we’re at, nor can we go backwards. The only direction we can go is forward.
Yes, it can be hard – but it’s the only way if we want to move forward in God and grow. © By M.S.Lowndes

Book Review
“Act like a Woman, Think like a Man” by Steve Harvey
This book was written to enlighten women with direct no nonsense, hard hitting advice. It tells what men really think about love and relationships, intimacy and commitment. I recommend this book to women of all ages, especially those who struggle in their relationships and who never had that “fatherly advice” from an older wiser male in their life. Overall I give this book five stars. The central premise of this book is about women having problems in their relationships, like their man being unable or unwilling to make a commitment or to respect them.
A women needs to respect herself first so she can be strong enough to set standards and boundaries. She must not settle for anything less. It is important to invite God to be in the midst of all our relationships for then it will be healthy and beneficial to those within the relationship.

Thursday church really makes me think about my life and what I can do to make myself a better person. Thursday church isn’t something that teens would go to and be bored.
As far as I know everyone who goes really likes it, I know I do! Also Thursday church is somewhere you can go and discuss Jesus and the Bible and ask questions knowing you won’t be judged.

Update on New Windows:
We had to revise the Total Cost, due to the following: addition of two more windows ($540.00) and purchase of Special Sealing Trim or all windows ($700.00). The total cost now equals $3,940. As of July 19th 2015 donations totaled $1778, leaving a needed amount of $2,162. TKO Construction LLC has been paid $1,500.leaving a balance due of $2,440. The $1,500 payment came out of donations to date. There is $278 in the checking account designated for the windows ($1,778 minus $1,500 = $278) The balance of $2440 due to TKO Construction minus the $278 equals $2,162 (the amount we still need for the windows) The board is currently discussing options for obtaining the remaining amount needed. Any additional donations, regardless of size, will be greatly appreciated.
